About The course

The level 3 award in assessing vocationally related achievement qualification is suitable for learners aged 19 and above. This qualification is intended for those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment).

Course Structure

The aim of this course is to assess the candidate assessor’s performance in assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace. For example assessments carried out in workshops, classrooms or other training environments.

Entry Requirements:

• Be competent in your field (the subject you want to assess)
• Level 2 written and spoken English (Equivalent to GCSE A-C)

DTLLS Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training

Train to be a Trainer

The Education and Training Level 5 (QCF) qualification provides training for those individuals who aspire to, or hold, a teaching role with an extensive range of teaching or training responsibilities, including those in more than one context.

This qualification is suitable for those learners who want the opportunity to explore underpinning theories, frameworks and research into effective teaching and learning alongside developing practical teaching skills. It is also suitable for those learners who are currently teaching and want their experience and practice accredited or those who are not currently teaching.

What do I need?

You must be qualified to Level 3 or 4 as applicable within the specialist subject you wish to teach and also have good written and spoken English, and be IT literate (Level 2). CTLLS Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (QCF)

Train to be a Trainer

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training is a requirement for anyone looking to work in a Teaching role in an associate position. This role carries less responsibility than that of a full teaching role. It is a nationally recognised qualification which allows you to progress onto the Level 5 Diploma, bringing you closer to being able to gain your QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills).

The duration of the course is approximately 3-6 months. Students will be required to have access to 30 hours of teaching practice whilst on the course, if you have done any teaching in the past 3 months we may be able to take this into consideration.
